River Ridge Tree Service

Jefferson Parish is home to River Ridge, which is a suburb of New Orleans. It was developed by French colonists in the 18th and 19th centuries. It mainly consisted of large sugar plantations that lined the Mississippi River in French lot styles. With narrow water fronts, the narrow plots of land extended far back from the river. Much of these plantations were flooded in 1849 during the Sauve's Crevasse. The levee failed and flooded much of New Orleans and the surrounding area. 

River Ridge was largely farmland until after World War II. The GI bill helped veterans purchase homes which sparked a large urban development. By 1965, much of River Ridge, Harahan and other suburbs were completely occupied. In 1974, the area between Metairie, Harahan and Kenner was officially named River Ridge. 

Tree Service Metairie has been serving River Ridge for many years. We have grown with the community, helping build back after dozens of hurricanes and intense storms. We even supported the River Ridge Little League World Series team. The community is great and so important to our organization and we will continue to proudly serve them.
