Tree Service in Lakeview
Lakeview Tree Service
Lakeview is a neighborhood nestled nice and tightly to the north of the city of New Orleans. It is still considered part of the city of New Orleans, however it is a good bit removed. This area is filled with very high end homes and offers a great, active community for those looking to move close to New Orleans without all the chaos of the city.
The New Basin canal was cut through the area that was largely undeveloped swamp lands in the early 19th century. It wasn't until after World War II that the area really started to see a lot of development. Lakeview is definitely an older community and contains a lot of diverse, but successful residents. During Katrina, most residents had more than enough time to escape, however the area was completely devastated. The 17th Street Canal levee collapsed and completely flooded the area in a matter of minutes. This destroyed the community. Many Lakeview residents were able to restore their homes on the first story while living on the second.
Today, the area is very alive and thriving. With large scale renovations to dated homes becoming more popular, Lakeview will surely become one of the best areas to live in the greater New Orleans area.
Post Katrina, Tree Service Metairie got to work immediately trying to help remove debris, help line service crews remove broken power lines and removing downed trees that were preventing restoration of power. We worked tirelessly in the Lakeview area, day and night to help restore power to the community. After months of hard work and dedication, the lights were finally turned back on for the community. To this day, that is one of our proudest moments as an organization. Lakeview holds a special place in our heart, and we will always be thankful for the opportunities the residents continuously give us.
